The Challenge

The Märklin magazine is celebrating in 2015 it's 50th birthday.

In the anniversary year, the decision was taken to digitize all issues up to the year 2010. Criteria of the capturing process were high prodcutivity and utmost care to prevent any damage to the magazines.

The Solution

Zeutschel zeta Office allows a non-contact means of digitizing bound Dokuments.

The scanner is turned upside down, scans are undertaken from above. The touchscreen on the right side uses modern operating concepts. And the intelligent operating software delivers perfect results with the very first scan.

Conclusion

In 10 working days, 232 issues with around 18.000 pages have been digitized.

All issues can be searched for text.

"In practice it appears: With the zeta Office scanning is much more efficient than with traditional scanners." - Peter Waldleitner, Chief Editor of Märklin Magazine
