Dealer meeting in Singapore: “Asia is a growth market for Zeutschel”

Sales partners from more than 15 countries attended the Zeutschel Asian Dealer Meeting in Singapore from November 9-11. The focus was on technology and market trends, the presentation of the new OS C and OS A scanner models, and “live demos” of current Zeutschel scanners at FotoHub, one of Asia’s most significant digitization service providers. Zeutschel also announced an extended cooperation with Mircoimage. The goal is to establish a service hub in Singapore for the Asian market.

Zeutschel top management represented

“Asia is a growth market for Zeutschel. We have already been represented with our own office in Singapore for 10 years. And the regional meeting is further proof of our great commitment to the region. That is why we were very pleased with the positive response from the participants,” explains Jörg Vogler, Zeutschel President.

And Christian Hohendorf, Zeutschel Vice President adds: “The regional reference is very important for Zeutschel. It allows us to respond even better to the needs of our Asian partners and develop a targeted approach to market strategies and product presentations together with them.”

New Zeutschel scanners very well received

Leong WenJui, Zeutschel Sales Manager Asia and Christian Hohendorf, Zeutschel Vice President presented the new Zeutschel model series OS C and OS A as well as two new software solutions: the OS QM tool with color management and a new method for an automatic quality check during each scan.

The OS C 2 continues the success story of the Professional Scanner series, the best-selling A2 overhead scanners on the market. The new overhead scanners combine high image quality and result reliability with productive operation and ease of use. And all this at a very good price/performance ratio.

With interchangeable digital cameras in the semi-professional and professional class, the OS A is the most universal scanner in the Zeutschel range. Books, bound documents and photographic materials up to A1 format can be digitized easily and quickly with just one device. At its heart is the OmniScan 12 scanning software, which automatically performs camera settings, image optimizations and, if necessary, recalibration.

“The OS C and OS A scanning systems and the two software solutions are perfectly suited to the requirements of the Asian market. The feedback from the partners is clear: the already high expectations have been exceeded,” reports Leong WenJui.

For example, after the product presentation, the digitization service provider FotoHub has already decided to order one OS A.

Visit to a digitization pioneer in the region

On the second day, the participants visited the service provider FotoHub. The company is a digitization pioneer in the region and works for the city-state’s largest libraries and archives.

FotoHub’s success is based on quality leadership compared to its competitors. That’s why the company consistently relies on scanning technology “Made in Germany.”

On site, the participants were given a demonstration of the OS Q1 overhead scanner and the Zeutschel ScanStudio in use. In the process, a variety of materials were digitized – from historical books and newspapers to photos and film negatives.

Singapore Sales Hub strengthened

Zeutschel is expanding its collaboration with Microimage, an experienced and well-established regional imaging distributor. The company has been the regional distributor for all Zeutschel products since 2007.

Now, the two sides are taking the next step in their cooperation by establishing a service hub for the Asian market. “All distributors serviced from Singapore will now receive high-quality service & support for all Zeutschel products. With this, we further increase the service level,” explains Zeutschel Vice President Christian Hohendorf.

Enough time for exchange and networking

The intensive program also offered enough time for individual discussions about business potentials and mutual networking.
